There is a lot more to Mauritius than meets the eye, aside from the brief description above Mauritius is well known for its Indian Temples, botanical gardens, colonial houses, rare species of birds, walking with lions and swimming with dolphins. Mauritians are known for their Amazing food and hospitality and tourists generally can't get over their service.

Aside from the blue sea and white beach sands, Mauritius is famous for their water Sports, from cruising in glass bottom boats to Scuba Diving. Relax yourself in world class spas and for the gentlemen, renowned golf courses.

The main Tourism area of Mauritius is the North, called Grand Baie which has the best Hotels and Beaches.

Mauritius is just 20 degrees south of the equator, making this destination a year-round, although the peak weather season is October through April which is Hot and humid.

Vibrant festivals

To experience what's said to be the largest Hindu pilgrimage outside India, plan a visit during Maha Shivaratri. Each February, roughly 500,000 people make the pilgrimage on foot to Grand Bassin, a lake near which stands a giant statue of Lord Shiva. You can also visit during Diwali, the festival of light, held every fall, and feast on gâteau patate—sweet potato and coconut cakes made and offered as gifts between families and neighbours.

Island escape

A complimentary 20-minute boat shuttle from the Resort takes you to one of Mauritius' most idyllic islands, Île aux Cerfs, located off its eastern shore. There, you'll find white sand coves, golf courses, ideal spots for sunbathing and clear waters for snorkelling.
