As the capital of Russia it is also the most populated city in the world. A broad array of travel experiences, from treks up the slopes of glacier-capped mountains to strolls along the shoreline of Earth’s oldest lake. There are many sites to see in this architectural wonder of a city and you will always find something new to explore on a vacation.
PLACES TO VISIT
1.KREMLIN
Well known for being a World Heritage Site the Kremlin has quite a history. The site is mostly used as a museum for tourist and locals alike.
2.SPARROW HILLS
One of the highest points in the city and home of the Moscow State University and lesser know Trinity church. The whole city can be seen from the observation platform at the top of the hill.
3.VDNKh – ALL RUSSIA EXHIBITION CENTRE
The centre was originally built in 1939 but was closed due to invasion shortly after the opening and beginning of the Second World War. It officially reopened in 1948 and has been adding exhibits and pavilions at a steady rate.
4.BOLSHOI THEATRE
It was founded in 1776 but due to a few different fires its current location and building came to be in 1824 after three years of construction. The theatre has always been exclusively for ballet and opera performances.
5.LENIN’S MAUSOLEUM
The Mausoleum is the final resting place of Vladimir Lenin. His embalmed body has been on view since his death in 1924.
6.STATE TRETYAKOV MUSEUM
Thousands of Russian art works from 11th to the 20th centuries, especially strong collections of medieval icons and paintings are on display in this world’s premier museum.
7.NOVODEVICHY CONVENT
The Convent is the best-known cloister of Moscow. It is surrounded by a lake which creates a cozy atmosphere.
8.MONUMENT TO THE CONQUERORS OF SPACE
The monument is 350-foot high. It Conquerors the Space commemorates of Yuri Gagarin’s 1961 orbit of earth and the Soviet Union’s preeminence in outer space.

The best way to get around in Moscow is by Metro, buses, trolleys, trams and taxis.The best time to visit Moscow weather-wise is late spring - early June.
