PLACES TO VISIT
1.UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD
Not only a working studio, Universal Studios has a variety of mind-blowing rides based on movie themes in the Theme Park. You can also visit CityWalk, a three-block entertainment area, with shopping, dining, and theaters.
2.THE GETTY CENTER
With its beautiful grounds and building this is the perfect setting for the Getty Centre. Collections of European paintings, drawings, sculpture, and decorative arts, as well as 19th and 20th century photography is on display.
3.SANTA MONICA PIER
With a population that ranges from surfers, skateboarders, and yoga devotees to techies and business people this popular stretch of golden sand with its iconic Ferris wheel, are what most tourist come to enjoy. Along the Third Street Promenade you can see street performers and do some shopping in some of the quirky and vintage stores to high-end boutiques.
4.NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
The museum is best known for its collection of dinosaurs. The Dinosaur Hall has on display a series of Tyrannosaurus rex fossils, featuring three full skeletons that range from baby to adult. Also on display are a Triceratops, a Stegosaurus and Mammals.
5.THE BROAD
As one of Los Angeles newest cultural attractions, The Broad focuses on contemporary and postwar art, with some large and dramatic installations. In this unique building there are more than 2000 works of art on display.
6.LONG BEACH
Visit the historic Queen Mary ocean liner, now converted into a hotel and museum, the Aquarium of the Pacific, and the Museum of Latin America.
7.THE NETHERCUTT COLLECTION
The Nethercutt Collection in the Petersen Automotive Museum displays an outstanding array of classic and vintage automobiles from the 1890s to the 1970s. Descriptions and the history of the cars and there previous owners are displayed with the automobiles.
