1.THE NATIONAL SEPTEMVER 11 MEMORIAL & MUSEUM
The museum serves as the primary tribute to the nearly 3,000 victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks, as well as the six lost in the 1993 bombing. The 1-acre-sized pools are enclosed in bronze panels on which the names of every victim are inscribed.
2.STATUE OF LIBERTY
It was built in 1886 as a gift from France to America and it remains a famous world symbol of freedom. The world largest statue offers a view of the New York Harbor and lower Manhattan. A short boat ride is required as the statue is located on Liberty Island.
3.SOUTH STREET SEAPORT
The Seaport was New York's port during the 19th century. Today it is brimming with stores, restaurants, historic buildings, museums and the Fulton Fish Market. Historic ships dock alongside the piers and a nineteenth-century paddlewheeler offers harbor cruises.
4.ST PATRICK’S CATHEDRAL
The Cathedral is one of New York's finest examples of Gothic Revival with its massive bronze doors, white marble facade, spires, the Great Organ, rose window, bronze baldachin and the statue of Pieta at the side of the Lady Chapel.
5.SOLOMON R GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM
The unique building, likened to a giant white shell is home to one of the world’s finest collections for modern art. The works for Picasso, Chagall Modigliani, Kandinsky, Leger, Manet and many other can viewed while you walk down the spiral ramp.
The Bridge was the world's first bridge to be constructed of steel. As a American landmark it had inspired generations of poets, songwriters and painters. The bridge features two powerful stone towers which are connected at the top with Gothic-shaped arches.
7.THE ROCKEFELLER CENTER
The center is a entertainment and shopping complex in the middle of Manhattan. Outside is an outdoor skating rink and inside are shops, restaurants and an observation deck. The famous Atlas sculpture is standing in front of the International Building.
The park has many attractions such as the Strawberry Fields, The Central Park Zoo and the Lake, which is used for skating in the winter and paddling in the summer.
9.THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART
Over 2 million works of art is a part of the permanent collections in the museum.The collections include American decorative arts, arms and armor, costumes, Egyptian art, musical instruments, and photographs.
