6.VIENNA, AUSTRIA

The markets transformed into magical Christmas markets from mid-November to Christmas. The best know market is the “Vienna Magic of Advent” turning the City Hall Square into a shining fairytale land. Christmas gifts, tree decorations, sweets and warming drinks are awaiting you as well as a carousel and craft fun Christmas Workshops for kids. You can also visit the cultural and Christmas market in front of Schönbrunn Palace before Christmas. After Christmas the market transfer into a New Year’s market, offering many delights. The atmospheric market offers traditional handicrafts, hand-made Christmas decorations, Christmas concerts and an extensive children's program, including Christmas workshop.

7.COLOGNE, GERMANY

From 26 November until 23 December 2018 the magic of Christmas will be felt throughout the festively decorated city. The aroma of baked apples, cinnamon biscuits and mulled wine will waft through the alleys, and many differently themed Christmas markets will invite people to stroll, shop and explore. Larger Christmas market is held downtown. The Christmas markets attract millions of visitors from all over the world every year. You can savour the unique atmosphere of this metropolis on the Rhine at this special time of year.

8.AMIENS, FRANCE

The biggest market in France has been visited by young and old since 1997 and is celebrating its 20th anniversary. From 24th November until 30th December the craftsmen from France and all over the world will offer a variety of handmade gifts, Christmas décorations and delicious delicacies. For this anniversary edition, an extra touch of magic will bring life to the Christmas window displays. Pupils in Design from the Saint Luc Art School in Tournai, Belgium, led by Peter van de Kerckhove, will be creating ephemeral works of art in the spirit of Christmas. The markets offers a great choice of gift ideas.

9.CLUJ NAPOCA, ROMANIA

It offers a holiday for the entire family, made up of children and grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins and so on. The Christmas Market can be found in Piata Unirii, the past heart of the medieval city of Cluj, grouped around the Church of Saint Michael, with the monumental ensemble Matia Corvin in the centre. You can enjoy some fun time on the skating rink or visit the main stage where you can listen to different kinds of genres and carols, to theater and performances, to the commercial cottages where you can find products of traditional trade, there is something for everyone. For the younger audience visits from Saint Nick, musicals of there favorite stories and Santa’s Shop; a group of creative workshops for children where they can participate to music workshops, watch puppet shows and listen to stories, but also use their creative side by painting, modeling, doing manual work and origami.

10.GLASGOW, SCOTLAND

Stylish shopping, superb eating and drinking with a jam-packet Christmas programme with a backdrop of glittering festive lights, making Glasgow the perfect place to be this Christmas. Extended festive opening hours at the Style Mile, making time to search for the perfect gift. The St Enoch Christmas market will open from November 9 until December 23 with a wide selection of festive gifts and delicious street foods to enjoy. George Square will be open from November 25 until December 31, with a bountiful selection of gifts, quirky handmade pieces, delicious food, drinks, fun fairground rides and plenty of family focused street performance.
