6.DAHSHUR
The necropolis is located in the desert on the west bank of the Nile River about 40 kilometers south of Cairo. It is home to some of Egypt’s best preserved pyramids. According to archeological studies, the oldest of the Dahshur pyramids was constructed in 2613 BC while the most recently built pyramid is believed to have been built 2589 BC. A remarkable aspect of these pyramids is the variation in design from one pyramid to the next. Pyramids at Dahshur include the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, constructed during the reign of Pharaoh Sneferu (2613-2589 BC).
7.ASWAN
Egypt’s southernmost city, spread out along the banks of the Nile, the town is a relaxed and friendly and provides a tranquil interlude if you've just arrived from busier Luxor or Cairo. Once ancient Egypt's gateway to Africa, this is a perfect base for exploring the temples, monuments, and other tourist attractions in the southern reaches of Upper Egypt and the area's distinctly different Nubian culture. Many of these can be done on day trips from Aswan. The best way to discover Aswan's charms is to hop aboard a felucca and view the town from the watery highway that once made Aswan an important trading post. The river here is speckled with islands holding picturesque mud-brick Nubian villages and hemmed by the West Bank's colossal sand dunes. It's all incredibly photogenic, particularly at sunset, when hundreds of lateen-sailed feluccas take to the water, and the river shimmers in the setting sun.
8.CAIRO
Located near the mouth of Nile River delta, Egypt’s modern capital is a busy, bustling metropolis with a long and turbulent history. Cairo is chaos at its most magnificent, infuriating and beautiful. Built near the ancient capital city of Memphis, modern Cairo is a popular starting point for cruises up the Nile and for explorations of the Pyramids at Giza just outside the city’s limits. At the world-renowned Egyptian Museum of Tahrir Square, visitors can get a close-up view of the treasure of Tutankhamun as well as mummies and other artifacts from Egypt’s ancient past. Cairo is a times journey…
9.LUXOR
It is often called the world’s greatest open-air museum. It is one of the best places to visit in Egpypt, the mid-sized city has much to offer the tourists from the ancient temples of Karnak and Luxor, to the ancient royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings and Queens, and spectacular desert and river scenery. Nothing in the world compares to the scale and grandeur of the monuments that have survived from ancient Thebes. But nothing comes nowhere near describing this extraordinary place.
10.GIZA
Located outside the outskirts of Cairo on the esplanade known as the Giza Plateau, the Great Pyramids of Giza is the must-see Ancient Egyptian landmark. Khufu's Pyramid, it is the greatest pyramid of the complex: a truly overwhelming sight and one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The two smaller pyramids in Giza are those of Khafre and Menkaure. A few steps to the east you will notice three small piles of rumble: the queens' pyramids, tombs of Khufu's wives and sisters. Nearby, you'll also find the Great Sphinx and the Solar Boat Museum. The site is also where the Light Show at Giza takes place, and where every newcomer to Egypt experiences Giza camel rides for the first time.
