16.CORSICA

With beautiful beaches and mountainous interior, Corsica hosts a huge range activities for all. Watersports are available on most major beaches including jet ski hire, flyboarding, waterskiing, paracending, inflatable rides, sea kayaks, sailing, windsurfing and paddle boarding. Corsica has intriguing dive sites for scuba divers and dive schools for beginners. There are many walking and cycling trails with breathtaking views and to explore the dramatic landscape and charming villages. Canyoning, Accrobranche, tennis, horse riding are also available and Sperone Golf Course is on the south east coast.

17.NORWAY

With its mix of mountains, fjords, remote villages and quiet coastal roads, Norway is a must go to place. Go in summer when the days are long, pack a tent and wild camp along the way. Among the most spectacular drives is from Bergen north to Trondheim which includes a stretch on the Atlantic Road, with eight bridges linking islands, and the chance to spot seals and whales. You can sleep in a real Snow hotel, experience Dog sledding in the Arctic wilderness, join a Northern Lights cruise or an amazing Aurora Borealis Safari. Activities such as Snowmobile safari, Reindeer sledge, Snowshoe trip, Northern Lights dinner cruise & King crab safari are available.

18.BALKANS

A walking and cycling trail, the Via Dinarica, runs for 1,000km from Slovenia’s Dinaric Alps in the north to Macedonia, via Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Albania. There are three options: the high mountain White Trail, the Green Trail, which is ideal for cyclists, and the easier Blue Trail, along the Dalmatian Coast. The Balkans' varied landscape makes it ideal terrain for endless outdoor pursuits – whether on mountains, lakes, rivers, canyons or the sea. You can also go skiing, rafting, kayaking, diving, snorkeling, sailing, swimming, windsurfing, kitesurfing, rock climbing, birdwatching or wildlife-watching.

19.PORTUGAL

Thrill-seekers may fall in love with Portugal, especially since there are plenty of activities that will keep the adrenaline pumping. From hiking in Madeira to canyoning in the Azores and skydiving in the Alentejo, Levada and mountain hikes, zip-lining between two countries – Spain and Portugal, surfing epic waves, skiing in the Serra da Estrela, bunjee jumping, canyoning and scuba diving. Portugal also has a range of islands on its coast for you to enjoy such as Madeira which is known as the Garden Isle thanks to its lush vegetation, or the secluded and serene Azores archipelago. Wherever you choose to go, Portugal is bound not to disappoint and you will be amazed at how much you can pack in when you visit this small but exciting country.

2O. ALASKA

Pack your waterproofs and wrap up warm, because even though this trip takes place in spring, the average temperature in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in northeastern Alaska, US is still only 5°C. You will be surrounded by 20 million acres of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The area is home to caribou, grizzly bears, wolves, musk oxen, peregrine falcons and more, which you're likely to spot as you raft 60 miles down the river – meeting hulking blue walls of broken-up ice as you go. You'll can also embark on mountain climbs and natural-history hikes. Alaska's adventure, history, culture, fishing, hiking, skiing, wildlife watching and scenery just might be the best in all of North America
